It could be said that the purpose of the Church is to bring humanity into a closer relationship with God as revealed in Jesus Christ. It is to learn to “Love God . . . and love our neighbour as ourselves”. It is to follow The Way. Yet we live in a material world that does its very best to distract us. If we are to succeed, we need all the help we can get! Christians find that help through worship and prayer. So we discover our need for corporate worship, that is, worship along with other people, and our need for private spiritual practice and discipline.
This section of the site will start you on an exploration of these two dimensions. Here we offer aspects of the worship life of the Cathedral, and some ideas for your personal spiritual growth.
