For many years St. Michael’s has been fortunate to receive the ministry of our St. Monica’s Guild. The members meet weekly to design and create wonderful compositions in fabric to enhance the beauty and dignity of worship. These creations take the form of liturgical vestments – the garments worn by clergy and laypersons who serve in the sanctuary – and seasonal banners that are displayed in the nave of the church. These are meant to be appreciated in the setting of worship, and are best viewed in that way. Nevertheless, a few samples of banners are shown here.
