Giving Life a Liturgy

The liturgy of the Church is a living thing, open to change to reflect the emerging needs of the people.  Across Canada, people of faith are constantly seeking to design ways to celebrate major events in the lives of people. Godparents Day and the Requiem are two such liturgies but there are so many more, such as the occasion of the empty nest, graduation from school or college, blessing a new home, moving away, retirement, surviving a miscarriage, the first day of school, the achievement of a driver's license. We are limited only by our imagination in the quest of giving the whole of life a liturgy.

If you have some thoughts about this, or an interest in giving a liturgy to an aspect of your life or of the lives of those you love, please call the Dean (250-762-3321). She would be happy to discuss this with you.
