There are several opportunities through St. Michael’s for deepening and broadening your spiritual life. (For St. Michael’s children’s education program, go to Ministry to Children.)
A weekly Bible Study group meets on Wednesday to reflect on the Gospel and other readings for the coming Sunday. Each year, around Lent, a concentrated weekly program of study for adults, focuses usually around a book of particular interest.
The Lenten Study Program for this year is described above.
St. Michael’s is the home office for a national program of Christian education called Education for Ministry (EFM). And the Diocese of Kootenay shares in a vigorous summer program at Sorrento Centre.
Christian Education for adults is available through the Vancouver School of Theology. Their programs are for interested laypersons as well as for those training for the clergy.
An excellent source for reading material and other support for spiritual growth is found at the Augsburg Fortress/Anglican Book Centre site.
